Hi, I'm Amity.

I'm a writer, midwife, mother and feminist. I write about what shapes and alters us as human beings and am particularly interested in highlighting women's voices and experiences. My passion for issues surrounding motherhood, mental health, gender politics, human rights, and health inequalities forms the basis of much of my work. My first book, Overdue: Birth, burnout and a blueprint for a better NHS, was published in October 2020 by Pinter & Martin.
